Amanda Gibbs, OTR/L, ASDCS & Dr. Miranda Virone, OTD, MS OTR/L, PhD(c)
Amanda Gibbs is a School-based Occupational Therapist that currently practices in Virginia working with ages 2 to 22. She is certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and is Tier 1 certified in the Size Matters Handwriting Program.
When she is not working in the school system, her passion lies in creating content on instagram @ot.enlightenment. It has since grown to be a platform to provide mentorship to students, guest speak for OT programs across the US, provide guidance for new graduates, provide resources on school-based OT information, treatment ideas, advocacy, and promotion of learning opportunities to become confident and competent occupational therapy practitioners.
Miranda Virone, OTD, MS, OTR/L, PhD (c)
Dr. Miranda Virone, OTD, MS OTR/L, PhD(c) is an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy, Educational Consultant, and passionate advocate for youth mental health. She serves as the co-facilitator of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) School Mental Health Community of Practice, the AOTA representative for the National Center of School Mental Health Advisory Board and served as a co-author of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association School Based Guidelines.
Dr. Virone educates and advocates for occupational therapy’s role in school mental health by presenting at the state and national level, conducting and mentoring research projects, and leading student fieldwork experiences in school mental health initiatives.
