Course Description

Join us for an interactive webinar focused on enhancing writing skills and progress monitoring for students of all backgrounds and abilities. Writing is an essential skill, and every student should be empowered to express their thoughts and ideas effectively. We'll touch upon the Universal Design for Learning concept and introduce various methods of writing.


Dive into inclusive strategies for diverse classroom settings and explore efficient progress monitoring. Equip yourself with tools to boost effective communication and writing in students; have pen and paper ready for interactive segments.

Learning Objectives


1. Learners will demonstrate their understanding by explaining the concept of extended evaluation for writing and how that applies to students in their academic environments.

2. Learners will differentiate between the five methods of writing production: drawing, handwriting typing, voice recording, and speech recognition.

3. Learners will use the tools demonstrated in the webinar to evaluate a range of students handwriting skills at a variety of skill levels in diverse classroom settings.

She presents interactive workshops for educators, therapists, teachers, and parents. These presentations include evidence-based practice, research, progress monitoring, Universal Design for Learning, and powerful research-based strategies for classrooms and schools.

This is an intermediate level course intended for occupational therapy practitioners working in school systems or with a goal to better understand occupational therapy in school systems

Course Completion Requirements

To receive a certificate for this course, you must watch the recorded course in its entirety. Then, you will need to take a learning assessment test and earn a score 75% or higher. If you pass, a certificate will be automatically generated and sent to your email.
