In this 1-hour course, you will learn the five key aspects of a valuable and efficient, top-down, school-based OT evaluation. Whether you have been in the schools for five days or five years, this training will help you:

Identify the key parts of an OT evaluation
Reduce stress by putting systems in place
Identify assessment tools you can use
Complete your evaluations on time
And feel more confident in your high-quality evaluations

​​​​​​​I will also show and provide you with the tools I use to stay organized and guide me through each of my evaluations so you no longer have to wonder if you included all the necessary pieces to your evaluation.
Learning Objectives
1. Learners will identify the laws and timelines that regulate the evaluation process in school-based OT.
2. Learners will identify the steps and process to completing a top-down, strengths-based school-based occupational therapy evaluation.
3. Learners will identify common tools used for OT evaluations in school-based OT.

This is an introductory level course intended for occupational therapy practitioners working in school systems or with a goal to better understand occupational therapy in school systems
Course Completion Requirements
To receive a certificate for this course, you must watch the recorded course in its entirety. Then, you will need to take a learning assessment test and earn a score 75% or higher. If you pass, a certificate will be automatically generated and sent to your email.
